So, I decided to replace the one in the 2004 Honda Civic as well — the instructions were clear, except that you have to use a little force to push the tabs from the inside of the glove comparment outward, and then the glovebox falls down.

The bar ends are roughly modeled on the CRG billeted bar ends. The quality is about 98% which makes them a steal at the price. You get two with the bar end mounts. CRG sells them separately for twice the cost of these two!!
Admittedly, mounting to the ends became a little frustrating. You just need to take your time so that the wedge action that causes the friction/tension holding the mount can perform as designed. Not the best, but once mounted, very sturdy and un-moving.
